FISHING WITH TOM

One of the main attractions to taking a trip on a houseboat at Lake Powell for many, is the chance to go fishing with Tom. A delightful experience visiting quiet hideaways & tucked away fishing holes.
Tom is always optimistic & knowledgable with tons of experience ready to help even the least of us. Luke, his fishing partner & he, have covered the river in all seasons, day or night, & all types of weather, for all types of fish, and have marvelous tales to tell of boils, algre fields, deep water inhabitants, & of course, the big fish battles.
Don't miss a ride when Tom shoves off with fellow fishermen, women, and kids, for an adventure on the lake, you're sure to enjoy!

Things To Bring

Euphoria is what you'll feel after you have arrived, unpacked, and are stretched out on the recliner, up on the deck. You'll have a sense of floating as you watch the sheer cliff walls of sandstone & granite roll by while rolling along the Colorado River. Did you remember your camera?

Here are some things to bring: pack your sleeping bag or sheet & old comforter, your pillow, & your beach & bath towel in soft bags that can be collapsed when empty, for easier storage. Use smaller bags for your personal items - pack your shorts, swimwear, & tops (that you'll mostly use), then another bag for shoes, books, a sweatshirt & shampoo! Bring a "boating bag" for when you need to make a quick jump on the speed boat, bound for an adventure, (sun screen, hat, sunglasses, camera, towel, water bottle, spending money, etc).
Don't forget some water shoes! It makes it easy for you to walk in the water, and on the rocks & sand. Hiking is not strenuous so tennis shoes, or your water shoes (Teva's) should work great, and flip flops are always a good item for those -in the water - out of the water, activities.

You'll spend most of your time in shorts or swimwear, however, upon occasion "evening attire" from the South Pacific will make you comfortable & bring a little color to the dinner hour, and/or around the campfire on shore.

If it's spring or fall, grag your stocking hat, scarf, & jacket or rain gear, plus sweat pants & shirts, or light jackets!
Bon Voyage!
