Hanging Grotto inside the mouth of San Juan River

IS IT TIME TO GET AWAY?

It's time to JUMP ABOARD the U4ia as we unhook the buoy and head for the river. The gang has come well prepared for remote canyons, adventures, and awesome sights in incredibly beautiful country, and, this modest houseboat is only too happy to be taking all for the ride!

So, grab your sleeping gear, drinks and snacks, because you are cordially invited to take an unforgetable trip on the Colorado River in fabulous LAKE POWELL and see the splendor from the comfort of the houseboat U4ia!

Welcome aboard campers, hikers, fishermen and women, young and old alike. See the 400ft sheer cliff walls, the reflections of the 150 ft deep water as it dances on the rocks, the watercaves and hanging grottos, the peaceful meandering canyons and eery compelling water ways calling you to come a little closer because, an amazing sight lies around the next ben just ahead.

Plan on climbing up to Definance House in Forgotten Canyon to see where the Anasasi Indians lived and left their spirits quietly watching the now restored ruins left from the days of old over 700 years ago. Don't forget those starry nights while laying on top the upper deck, or the fire flickering and filling the darkness with aroma, only to wake to the soft beckoning of the Canyon Wren or the haunting caw of the black Crow sweeping along the full length of the sheer cliff wall you're camped below.

Oh yes, this is only the beginning. Are you set to go? Make plans now, and remember, there's nothing like the awesomeness of the seemingly endless miles of river and canyons in LAKE POWELL and no better way to explore its vast remoteness than aboard the houseboat U4ia.
